A work in progress by Connor Franta

So this is a review on the book “A work in progress” by YouTube sensation Connor Franta. This book talks about Connor’s real life struggles with his sexuality and lots more. I honestly loved the book and the way it was written. You can tell that the feelings he felt are real and that he’s being real with all his fans who have read the book. His writing style is like he’s trying to give genuine advice and help to his readers. Although he is funny and a comedian on his YouTube channel, his book shows the reality of his life and struggles with body image, sexuality, how he was going to come out to his closet friends and family including his fans. I know that through the comments I read on that video he has so much support that includes myself because I can tell he will only continue to get more popular as time goes on. This book does not go in chronological order although in my opinion that would have been nice. It was not necessary because the content is very good. My favorite quote in the book is “I began to see life through a different lens and went a little easier on myself. Gradually happiness started to take over.” The book is only two hundred and twelve pages of pure wonderfulness. I honestly would love a documentary on Connor Franta. He has such helpful and honest advice. I have applied a couple of his principles from his book in my own and I am so much happier now that I have. When you see life through a different lens and aren’t so hard on yourself. Happiness starts to take place. You find yourself being joyful more than ever.

So on a scale of one to ten. I would rate this book a solid nine. I would highly recommend you read it. It is very helpful and full of advice. If you like these book reviews you should definitely let me know in the comments by saying “MORE BOOKS!”.
