Blooming Panic Game Review!

 

SOOOO… I haven’t ever really done any game reviews on here before BUT I feel like this is the perfect one to start off with. Why you may ask? Well… the 4 perfect discord boyfriends are…er… perfect. The game Blooming Panic is so fun. I just had to play into the wee hours of the morning. I’ll admit I was up until 3 am playing 3 of the routes. The fourth route I finished later that day. A little tidbit of information on Blooming Panic is that XYX was not originally a route. And it’s pronounced Zikz. SO a fun fact!

A little backstory!

The layout is similar to real Discord servers complete with bot commands, channels, a mod, and other people in the chat daily. Once you join the server, you are able to pick your username and pronouns.  Then you are shown all the bot commands available to you. There are restrictions on the private information you and others can share. There is also ” Bloomic character slander” and “Bloomic Character Propaganda”.  Also, server arguments ensue.

There are also different channels in the server like a blooming discussion where the regulars chat about the web novel. The fanart dump includes unique artwork of the web novel. The fanart shown also depends on the route played. The general where all non-Blooming Panic talk happens. Also known as all the tomfoolery happens. You unlock special channels with each love interest. The most important channel of all is the voice channel! Your love interest regularly participates in voice calls with you. *Heart eye emojis all over this*

And all four love interests, their characters… There are literally no words to describe how stunning and perfect the creators of this game did! (Literal to die for characters) They are all incredibly realistic with a past that slowly gets uncovered as well as flaws among their lovable traits. These guys could have been real people with the way the interactions felt so genuine and sometimes emotional. The voice actors for these characters really made them come to life. Everything from the way they type in the server to how they respond to you to the interactions via voice calls. It’s all perfect! PERFECT! There are good endings and bad endings. When you play both you unlock short stories in the extras tab as you open the game btw!

 

Quest

 

Let’s start with the first guy whose route I took. Quest! Of course, I didn’t really know which route I was taking by the answers I picked. He’s a kind of shy one. His route is sweet and honeymoon phase-ish. He is a sincere guy with a troubled past. He’s described as 28 years old and 6’0 tall. He’s the sole mod of the server. He works a mundane job just like the MC (You’re the player). His past surfaces when an unwanted new server member doxxed him. His bad ending is so sad. He is not partial to any Blooming Panic character.

 

Nightowl

 

Now on to our cutie. *DRUMROLL* NIGHTOWL! He is a 25-year-old architecture grad student. He is described as being 5’7…Oof but still he’s so hot for a video game character. He’s a red flag but red is my favorite color. But seriously, he is a sweetheart but also hot-headed. He tends to become a little emotionally driven. I loved his route. He is bubbly and fun. Onion is an asshole. if you played or are going to play you know. His bad ending broke my heart. I cried literally. Literally such a cutie. I mean looks alone AHHH! BTW He favors Damien of Blooming Panic.

 

XYX

 

Drumroll for XYX. He is the resident cool guy on the server. Also a troll for sure. He is 29 years old. He is described as being 6’1. *Sighs* I love tall men. He hides how he looks and sounds from the group except for the player. He’s so attractive looking. He also hides his profession and a lot of his personal life from the group. A little mishap causes the group to find out personal information which he doesn’t like. His bad ending hurt honestly. His favorite Blooming Panic character is Celeste.

 

NakedToaster

 

Last but certainly not least, NakedToaster. They also go by Toasty. They are 29 years old. They are described as being 6’4. They are a CEO of a company. They have some struggles letting go. They are flustered easily by the player if you play a good ending. They are the realist of the game. They are aloof and sarcastic often more often than not. In case you are not aware, They are non-binary and go by They/Them. I honestly felt awful about their bad ending. It felt like a stab to the heart. His favorite is Nathaniel btw.
